Sunday 27 Jul 14: the town hall in Wetherby. It’s not a big town, population about 20 thousand, and it’s nicely compact with all the action around the town hall and down by the bridge over the River Wharfe. The town’s got a history of some 800 years. The shops in the centre are pleasantly free of national chains, not a mobile phone shop in evidence, with plenty of independents.
