Saturday 9 Aug 14: road closed in Histon. Yesterday and last night we had a month’s rainfall in less than 12 hours and not unsurprisingly we got some flooding in the village. Most subsided pretty quickly but the B1049 was badly affected at Glebe Way and the road had to be closed as a result. The County Council did a good job enabling the road to re-open this evening but now it’s fingers crossed that the rain forecast for tomorrow doesn’t give us similar problems.
