Sat 16 May 15: the screen on the back of my SLR broke just after my return from vacation, good timing, and today I bought a new back. I started serious photography with Minolta so now I’m a Sony man and I went to Campkins http://www.campkinscameras.com/ for advice. Campkins is the sort of shop we need. The guys who work there are experts, they give good advice and they’re patient. So now I have a new and fully functioning DSLR again. It’s a Sony alpha58 so that means it’s got an active view finder so no need for the mirror to flip. It’s got more pixels, more iso and movie and panorama capability. And it’s smaller!
