Sun 7 Jun 15: Flaming June half marathon on Rampton Drift just before the crossing of Oakington Road when it becomes Gun’s Lane which takes the runners back into Histon. I was on marshal duty and could get a good look at the runners as they went by. Some were real pros but many looked like they’d just decided to run at the last minute without any sort of preparation.
