Sun 25 Sep 16: the Angel Inn in Blyth, Notts. We spotted this pub as we passed through Blyth on a detour last Friday so we tried it out for lunch. It’s a 12th century coaching inn and inside it’s what you might describe as quirky with the landlord’s collection of witty epithets, tea pots, ornamental ducks and geese etc on display. The Sunday lunch was traditional but perfectly acceptable.
