Wed 3 Apr 19: slow braised beef & aubergine madras @waitrose. The recipe called for ‘curry leaves’ which I didn’t have. Would they have made a difference because otherwise the dish was pleasant but a tad bland? All the flavour seemed to concentrate in the aubergine.
