War on plastic (2) @oralb @terracycleuk

Fri 19 Jul 19: there’s good news on the Colgate, which owns Oral-B, web-site. It provides free collection of its range of dental products via Terracycle and there’s the appropriate bin at Orchard Park Community Centre. They say that they will segregate the plastic components so that the recyclate streams can be of higher value. And it’s double good news because the tube carries recycling symbol 90 C/PE which I reckon is chlorinated polyethylene which can produce toxins, vinyl chloride monomer I guess, when burnt.
