Not a usual go to author

Mon 26 Aug 19: I got this recommendation from comment on an earlier post of another book photo and I’ve caught the last in this series of ‘ A is for .. etc’ books. It’s not exactly a bad yarn but it is home spun American and half the action is in 1989 which is ‘modern’ but pre-social media and pre-mobile phone so it’s somewhat removed from my regular reading.
