Sun 13 Oct 19: was a time when conkers were a tradable commodity between school boys. I hear that in some schools they’ve fallen victim to Health & Safety idiocy. Nonetheless their appearance at this time of year is a part of the signal of the changing of the seasons and they’ve lost none of their shine.
