Tue 13 Jul 21: until recently I’ve been a slave to a 3:2 aspect ratio. For some reason I’ve accepted that as a constraint and done my best to create good photographs within it. It’s the sort of person I am, like many (most?) people I do like clear rules (Boris Johnson please note). Recently I’ve broken loose.
The original of this is pretty boring but I’ve cropped first of all to get rid of an uninteresting foreground and a little surplus sky and then to highlight the subject (the walker and her dog) and the supporting cast (the sheep) in this pleasantly rural shot. I’m quite pleased with the end result.
