Thu 7 Oct 21: plenty of substance and enough complexity to get your teeth into. As ever, and as seems typical these days, a rather too easy ending but then that’s the advantage of fiction. You can make it up. I especially like the way Cara stars in the final chapters. I’m also in awe of how much the teenage Xavier is supposed to drink and how Kite can turn out for an early morning run on not much less and only a few hours’ sleep.
