The dying sycamore on Long Meadow

Sun 28 Nov 21: sadly this wonderful tree is dying and the tree surgeons who’ve inspected it say that it’s in need of surgery. It’s going to be cut back to a ‘monolith’ so that there can be no branches in danger of falling. It’s a good job that we didn’t get the worst of storm Arwen over the weekend because that might have accelerated the process.
