Sun 30 Jan 22: continuing our new year’s resolution of getting full value from out National Trust membership we visited Ickworth today. The web-site says:
‘Ickworth House with its classical Rotunda, East and West Wings, forms the centrepiece of the Ickworth estate. It reflects its former owners’ (the Hervey Family) tenacious spirit and has been preserved by the custodianship and influence of unconventional men and women over successive generations’.
The Rotunda is indeed elegant and in the west wing there’s a cafe and we enjoyed our coffee, in real cups, on the terrace in the winter sun.
